Welcome to Moses Lake Christian Academy.  We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our school.  The goal of Moses Lake Christian Academy is to offer a Christ-centered, quality educational program to the Christian community of Moses Lake, the surrounding area and to international students.  We believe that God has established the home and the church as the primary sources of spiritual development.  The school in no way intends to replace those institutions, but seeks to support them, holding Christ preeminent in all things.  We believe that each student, being created in the image of God, is of supreme worth.  We believe the dignity and worth of each individual should be respected.  We understand  that students vary in their inherent and acquired capabilities and that those differences must be considered.  Our goal is to encourage a student's growth spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.

     Moses Lake Christian Academy does admit foreign exchange students and has been approved by the government to accept both longer term F1 students and one year students through foreign exchange companies such as ASA.   Students who seek education here must have strong English language skills. We do not offer "English as a Second Language" services at MLCA.

If you are seeking a Washington State diploma for your student you must plan an applying for a long term F1 visa.  This will allow you to complete a full course of high school studies at Moses Lake Christian Academy. Diplomas cannot be granted unless graduation requirements are met. 

MLCA does not provide housing for foreign exchange students.  You must have an approved host family and this family must be available to interview with the school. 

The following is a list of documents that need to be submitted for application:

1.  Fill out both the Foreign Exchange Student Application and the MLCA Student Application for Admission and sign attached behavior covenants.

2.   Application fee paid in US dollars of $1,000.00 for F1 Visa or $500.00 for J1 Visa.

3.  Financial Evidence of sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses such as a signed bank statement from your bank manager declaring your financial ability to pay all school tuition, fees and living expenses. 

4.  A Copy of the student's current signed passport.

5.  A signed Health Physical Form by the student's doctor in English.

6.  Current and complete immunization records in English.

7.  TOEFL scores or Standardized Test Scores translated into English.

8.  Official Transcript from previous school in English with school phone contact

9.  Host Family information completed on the MLCA Application for Admission Form

10.  One 2 in. X 2 in. photograph (passport size).

Once all of these forms are received, we will arrange an interview either in person or by phone with the parents, student, and host family to discuss personal history, philosphy, and faith background.  We will also discuss with the student their personal reasons for coming to the United States and studying at Moses Lake Christian Academy.

After the interviews, the family or MLCA may decide to not continue with the admissions process.  Please be aware that the application fees are nonrefundable for foreign exchange student applications. 

If the interview is favorable, the next step in the application process is testing.  Each student must be tested before acceptance into MLCA.  This testing does not guarantee acceptance but allows us to assess each student's ability. 

Review of the testing will determine where the student is to be placed in the MLCA educational program or if other educational options besides MLCA are in the best interest of the student.

After all steps above have been completed and the student is accepted for enrollment into the Moses Lake Christian Academy, full tuition payment is required.

Payment in full of $9,370.00 for F1 Visa Students or $5,250.00 for J1 students is due in full as soon as the student has been accepted into MLCA after testing.  The student will not be allowed to commence their studies until full payment is received in US funds by Money Order, by direct deposit, or by Visa/Mastercard.
